Welcome to Adícora

You can see from the growth patterns of our palm trees that daily windspeeds averaging 20+ knots nine months out of the year are not just a lot of hot air.!

The strongest and most consistent winds in Adícora blow from February through July, with the typical day falling in the 18-25 knot range. Last year ('97), excellent conditions continued through August. Adícora is a lazy man's sailing town, as the wind continues builds through the early afternoon and continues into the evening. This leaves you with plenty of time to study the natural swing frequency of your hammock earlier in the day. It is not uncommon for your final jibe to coincide with the last glimmer of sunlight sneaking over the horizon. . . check out the Adícora Windsurfing Guide for more info on wind and weather.

There are two sailable beaches in Adícora. The North Beach offers flat water slalom style sailing in a reef-protected bay. Conditions on the South Shore are predominately chop, surf sailing, and swell. There are three ridable reef breaks just off of The Fishermen's Pavilions, as shown on the map. Jumping is port tack. Wind is side onshore, but often a touch more sideshore here than at the beach break. Similar to the beach break, these waves are not, in general, damaging, and tend just to wash over you harmlessly if you wipe out in their midst. . . check out the Adícora Windsurfing Guide for more info on sailing conditions.

Come discover the magic yourself. The Kitesurfing Adícora Sailing Center and Hotel will make it the windsurfing vacation of a life time.
